Mamaroneck Man Joins Police Force In Fairfield County

The Trumbull Police Department recently welcomed the addition of three police officer recruits to the town’s police force.

The three, including James Kassimis, 29 of Mamaroneck, Caitlin Murphy, 26 of Shelton, and Matthew O’Connor, 24 of Southington, were sworn in as recruits on Monday, during a ceremony at Trumbull Town Hall 

The group will attend the Connecticut Police Academy in Meriden for nearly six months of law enforcement training beginning Friday.

Their training will include more than 850 hours of classroom and practical instruction, along with physical fitness conditioning to prepare the officers to perform the many duties of a police officer in today’s communities.
